As holidays come to a close so too does Codebrite but with it many bright young coders have emerged! Both days of Codebrite provided children with a fun learning environment and all of the children felt as if they had learned something they will use in the future.
To let you in on what Codebrite offered to these young coders we decided to tear away two children from their laptops to quickly interview them. Here were their responses!
Jack- 8 years old
When did you start coding?
One year ago when I was 8.
Why did you start coding?
Because my dad mentioned it and it sounded interesting. I also knew games and YouTube was done by coding so I thought I could create my own game.
Would you do more? If so, what do you want to do with it?
Yes! To make games and websites. And maybe in a job.
Are you coming to the next Codebrite then?
Probably!

Eden - 10 years old
When did you start coding?
Term 4 last year
Why did you start coding?
To give me something to do because I was bored. And when I learned to code, I started to love it even more!
Would you do more? If so, what do you want to do with it?
Yep! I want to build my own business and create a coding HQ where I can create games for adults and children. I would also create programmes to make coding sound even better!
Are you coming to the next Codebrite then?
Yes, definitely!
Passionate and enthused, the children show great promise in the world of coding and this is just the beginning! Children can be introduced to, or continue coding, at home with CodeAvengers or at Code Club which is offered at various schools. And look out for the next Codebrite school holiday programme!
